During the testing of new releases, GLMI Development generally tests the Ubiquity product within a set scope of system and/or software products. This scope then sets the standard requirements for which support may be offered. Because the list of “supported products” cannot reasonably describe all possible configurations that a customer may need to use, some customers may have concerns about the level of support that will be provided for configurations that are not specifically designated as “supported.”
As clarification, a “supported product” is a product that was tested by GLMI Development and is known to work with the Ubiquity System. An “unsupported product” is a product that is known to not work with the Ubiquity System and is therefore not supported. A product can be included in this category as a result of an explicit test effort by Development or as a result of discovery from a prior customer problem.
As of the most recent release, the recommended system requirements/supported products for utilizing the Ubiquity System are as follows, given the latest service pack and high-priority updates have been applied when appropriate:
Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 SP1
Supported Operating Systems:
400 MHz Pentium processor or equivalent (Minimum)
1GHz Pentium processor or equivalent (Recommended)
96 MB (Minimum)
256 MB (Recommended)
Up to 500 MB of available space may be required
800 x 600, 256 colors (Minimum)
1024 x 768 high color, 32-bit (Recommended)
