4010 Transactions Accepted after January 1st

As you may know, CMS announced that it will not begin enforcement of the new claim submission standard until March 31, 2012, giving providers a 90-day grace period to get into compliance. They have now announced that they will continue accepting claims under the 4010 standard past the January 1^st, 2012 switchover deadline. Medicare has granted this additional flexibility due to many submitters that have yet to begin testing with their Medicare Administrative Contractor. GLMI, however has already completed testing for several of these payers and is in the testing process with several others.

• United Health – Through Zirmed
• Humana – Through Zirmed

In the testing process for the following payers:
